Horn is often asked by major publications to write about Jewish Culture, but recently came to notice that it was often only about deceased jews, never the current experience. This is a collection of essays that explores that notion and challenges us to confront the reason why there is such a fascination with Jewish deaths and so little respect for current Jewish life.

Author: Dara Horn - American novelist and essayist who has won the National Jewish Book Award three times. She has taught Jewish literature and Israeli history at various colleges including Sarah Lawrence, Harvard and Yeshiva University.
