Historical Fiction/Mystery/Thriller

Benjamin Weaver, a jew and ex-boxer, is an outsider in eighteenth-century London who spends his time tracking down debits and felons for his aristocratic clients. An investigation turns personal when a prospective client tells him that his father’s tragic accident was actually a murder. To find answers, Weaver is plunged into the British financial world that is rife with scandal and violence, leading up to the world’s first stock market crash also known as the South Sea Bubble. A subplot of this book is Weaver’s reintegration into his family’s Sephardic Jewish community.

Sequels: A Spectacle of Corruption (Benjamin Weaver #2), The Devil’s Company (Benjamin Weaver #3), The Day of Atonement (Benjamin Weaver #4). These are all different adventures set in the Benjamin Weaver World.
