Volume One explores the lives and times of great Jewish sages, their teachers and disciples. This explores the time of the Second Temple Era and discusses some notable sages such as Hillel, Rabbi Yochanan Ben Zakkai and Shammai. This volume also discusses the traditions and innovations of law during that time period in Jewish History. This was the first book by Rabbi Binyamin L’au to be translated into English.

Rabbi Dr. Binyamin L’au is the Rabbi of Ramban Synagogue in Jerusalem. He is an Israeli Community Leader, educator and social activist.
